Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Karissa Walton, NMD
Born and raised in Arizona, Dr. Karissa Walton always knew her purpose was to become a physician dedicated to healing. Her educational path was singularly focused on this goal. However, during a pivotal moment in her life, when the time came to apply for medical school, personal and family health challenges arose. Caring for her mother during a courageous battle with cancer led Dr. Walton to discover naturopathic medicine, inspiring her to pursue a path of healing that combines science with the natural elements of medicine. This experience reinforced her belief that true healing in modern medicine had been overlooked and set her on the path to become a physician who approaches health holistically.
While in naturopathic medical school, Dr. Walton initially planned to specialize in oncology, studying integrative approaches to cancer treatment. However, her passion and talents quickly aligned with preventative, physical, and regenerative medicine. During clinical training, she worked at the esteemed Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine, learning from leading experts in non-opioid pain management. Dr. Walton completed advanced training in a range of regenerative techniques, including Prolotherapy, Prolozone®, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), and Autologous Stem Cells. Today, she uses these treatments to help patients overcome pain, restore movement, and reclaim the life they love.
Dr. Walton’s expertise extends to optimizing human performance through techniques such as Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Ozone Therapy, Neurofeedback, and Functional Neurology. She specializes in a wide array of conditions, including autoimmune diseases, chronic infections, hormonal imbalances, endocrine disorders, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, MS), and musculoskeletal conditions.
Her philosophy is simple yet profound: medicine should root itself in both nature and science, focusing on the individual rather than just the condition. By treating the underlying cause of illness instead of masking symptoms, Dr. Walton offers customized, functional approaches to health. She empowers her patients to understand the “why” behind their symptoms and guides them toward achieving optimal wellness.
